This lovingly, restored quintessential country cottage is an excellent holiday property and just a short drive from the sea.  Walkers will be drawn to this wonderful location with its wealth of countryside, whilst those preferring to explore the area will find themselves well placed for the many attractions of West Dorset and East Devon. Adventurous lanes and paths are immediately accesible from the cottage and the beautiful National Trust land at Golden Cap is within walking distance.  Morcombelake has a very good farm shop, post office and stores, tea rooms, bakery and the village of Chideock, with two very good pubs is within easy reach by car.

Charmouth has a small selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting. There is also a large park, with a well-equipped children's playground nearby. A great location for walkers; the South West Coast footpath and a network of inland footpaths allow visitors to explore the stunning West Dorset coast and countryside. There are also regular bus routes running through the village along the Jurassic coast and it's only a five-minute drive to the historic seaside town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb Harbour.
