Magpie Cottage is a lovely country cottage based in Morpeth, Northumberland. It has two bedrooms: one double and one single. There is a separate family bathroom and WC. Downstairs has an open-plan kitchen and dining area, as well as a living room. Parking is available outside the property. Outside there are shared gardens amid 26-acre grounds. Magpie Cottage is an idyllic cottage located in the heart of the Northumberland countryside. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome. Washing machine and dryer provided in a shared utility room

Morpeth is a market town in Northumberland England, lying on the River Wansbeck. Morpeth Castle was built in the 13th century by Ranulph de Merlay, to the south of Haw Hill. The only remains of Harbottle Castle are the gatehouse, which was restored by the Landmark Trust, and parts of the ruined castle walls.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
