Coalport is a village in Shropshire, England, located on the River Severn. Famous for its early 19th century cast iron bridge, it offers a village store and local pubs for fine food and local produce, as well as a village hall and china museum for a taste of history. Ideally situated for exploring all the neighbouring towns and villages, including Ironbridge and Telford.
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
