Westland is a three storey semi-detached house, located on Devon Road in Salcombe. This lovely holiday home sleeps seven people in three bedrooms with one family bathroom (first floor), and one shower room (ground floor). There is a superb open plan kitchen/dining room with a central island/breakfast bar and large pine table and two double sofas to seat all guests comfortably, as well as a delightful lounge with a TV, DVD and Playstation 2 to entertain, and a lobby/porch in the hallway to store bags. Outside there is a large, sun baked, stone paved terrace at the front of the property with table, chairs and a barbecue. This is a fantastic base for an extended family to holiday in south Devon, providing all weather entertainment not only in the property, but within its surrounding beaches, town centre, and neighbouring chocolate box villages.

Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
