Situated in the grounds of the historic, Grade II listed King’s Old Rectory, Kings Cottage - South, offers guests the opportunity to stay somewhere in the heart of South Wiltshire’s magnificent Chalke Valley.
There is one king-size double bedroom (can be a twin on request) with ensuite shower room with walk in shower, basin and WC. Another on the first floor is a king size double with ensuite bathroom, with one double and a second floor twin. Original styling is mixed with modern touches throughout, along with a first floor bathroom with shower over, basin and WC.
It has a kitchen, dining room and sitting room with wood burning stove, adding homely and comfortable touches. The nearest shop and pub are only a five minute walk away. One pet is allowed. Note: This property can booked with Kings Cottage North (Ref: 988964) to accommodate up to 10 guests. Note: Access is shared between both properties - and can be enclosed with the gate. Broad Chalke is a village nestled under the download of Cranborne Chase, between Shaftesbury and Salisbury. Cranbourne Chase is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the countryside can justly claim to be some of the finest in southern England. Walkers, riders and cyclists are particularly well served by the multitude of footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes which run along the valley while a walk up to the old Ox Drove on the chalk ridge above will be richly rewarded by the sweeping views.
