The Smithy is a detached, Cotswold cottage based in Broadwell, Gloucestershire. The property is packed with history as it used to be home to the village blacksmith, with his workshop tucked away next door.The old workshop barn next door hasn’t been touched, so part of its original history remains intact. Downstairs has an open-plan fitted kitchen with a dining area, as well as a living room with an electric flame effect fire, as well as a ground floor cloakroom and WC. Upstairs has two double bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom and WC, and a twin bedroom. There is a separate wet room style shower room and WC. Outside, there is a large garden area with terrace and furniture, as well as a barn conversion with a king-size bedroom, shower room with walk-in shower, kitchen, and sitting room. Ample off road parking is provided. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome at an additional charge of 25GBP.

Broadwell, a village in Gloucestershire, is quintessential Cotswold, complete with a quaint bar and beautiful stone homes. Stow-on-the-Wold, an ancient market town, is only 1.5 miles away, so you'll have easy access to grocery stores, shops, bars, and restaurants during your visit. Throughout the AONB, there are bike paths and bridleways, and there are also excellent walking trails along the nearby River Evenlode. Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Moreton-in-Marsh are just a short drive away and are some of the most well-known towns in the Cotswolds. In less than an hour, you can reach the nearby regency spa town of Cheltenham.

Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
