The town centre houses a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes. Close by is Hornsea Mere which offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Alternatively, Wassand Hall and walled gardens is close by, providing a delightful leisurely stroll.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
