Gritstone Cottage is a charming stone-built, semi-detached in the lovely village of Great Longstone just a short drive away from Bakewell. The property sleep four people in two bedrooms with a double and two single beds. You will also find a kitchen located at the rear and a lounge/diner on entry to the property. Venture up and out the back steps to find a secluded garden area with patio table and chairs. Gritstone Cottage rests in the heart of the village, a welcoming retreat for all the family to enjoy. This property only accepts a Friday or Monday check in. Please note that wood for the wood burner is not supplied but can be purchased locally

A little market town retaining a rural atmosphere and offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as local farmers’ markets. There is an old 17th Century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Bakewell is situated within the Peak District National Park. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. Take a trip to Buxton and visit the Edwardian Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium.
