A really charming village close to the A30 on the outskirts of Bodmin Moor that serves as a great starting point for exploring the various nearby tourist attractions. The village of Altarnun itself is home to charming stone homes, a creek that runs through it, a beautiful ancient church, and a classic country inn. This is the perfect location to unwind after a long day of seeing the breathtaking landscape surrounding Bodmin Moor. Discover the four distinctive communities of Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, and Crackington Haven, each located along North Cornwall's breathtaking, undeveloped coastline. A busy port where scenes from Doc Martin were filmed, Port Isaac, allows you to still see the fisherman at work. Cycling and walking are common pastimes here, but there is also a wealth of history about the area to discover with stately homes and museums aplenty as well as a little further afield, places such as the Eden Project, cruises from Truro to Falmouth or even surfing on the North Cornish coast. There is something to please everyone in this stunning region.
