Located near the lakes of Coniston and Windermere, Puddle Duck Cottage provides excellent budget accommodation for any family looking for a fine base from which to explore the southern area of the Lake District.
The small village of Spark Bridge has two pubs, the Farmers Arms and Royal Oak, both offering good food. A couple of miles away is the village of Greenodd, which has a selection of shops and a pub, whilst just five miles away is the ancient market town of Ulverston.
