The Old Cartway is a Grade II listed mid-terrace cottage in Pickering, North Yorkshire. The cottage comes with four bedrooms including one double, one adult bunk room and two single bedrooms as well as a bathroom and shower room, it can sleep seven people. This cottage also has a kitchen, dining room and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars, a patio with table and chairs, a lawn with a picnic bench, a lockable utility shed with storage and a ramp for wheelchair access. The Old Cartway is a charming stone cottage in a brilliant market town.
Pickeringh has a range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, it serves as the official gateway to the North York Moors National Park, home of the Heartbeat countryside. You can ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, where some of the locations were used in the filming of The Philosopher’s Stone! The Beck Isle Museum is also worth a visit, with its collection of photography. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with a range of opportunities on the North York Moors, whilst the city of York and the Heritage Coast are just half an hour’s drive away. All in all, a wonderful setting for a holiday.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
