Ambleside has plenty to see and do, whilst nearby are Lake Windermere, where you can enjoy a ride on the Windermere Steamer, visit Lakeside with the Aquarium of the Lakes or William Wordsworth house. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome. Please note: There is no parking at this property
Ambleside is situated at the northern tip of Lake Windermere offering a great base to explore the area. Ambleside has a number of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as the annual rushbearing ceremony and the 17th century “Bridge House”. Also cruises, boat trips and watersports can be enjoyed on Lake Windermere.
