Greenhowes is a charming, terraced cottage located in a row of holiday properties on the Graythwaite Estate, near Hawkshead in the Lake District National Park. With three bedrooms consisting of one double, one twin and one adults bunks bedroom, the cottage can sleep six people comfortably. There's also a shower room, a contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside, there is off road parking, plus a shared patio garden with furniture and BBQ. Guests at Greenhowes also have access to the estate's fantastic facilities, which include a swimming pool, a 2.5-acre trout fishing lake and many acres of grounds to wander. A superb little spot for your next family getaway.
The picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Cars are banned from the village, leaving visitors free to wander the wealth of tiny alleyways, thoroughfares, archways and courtyards between the whitewashed 17th Century houses. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating water sports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Shops 4 miles, pubs 2 miles. Water from private supply, fed from freshwater lake. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking Graythwaite Adventure in advance. Graythwaite fishery is free for all guests and equipment can be hired locally, a small fee is applicable to keep your catch, rod fishing license required. Mobile phone signal may be limited due to the location of the property. Please Note: This property has a £250 Good Housekeeping Bond. The swimming pool can be booked for 45 minute private sessions, All guests can pre-book up to a maximum of 3 swimming slots ( or 2 slots for short stays 2 and 3 nights ) 7 days prior to arrival by contacting estate@graythwaite.com (Please bring swim towels, as the towels provided are only for use in the property). Please note that we can’t accept check in on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day
