The ground floor shower room is well appointed and the outside space offers a small front garden, a patio area with furniture to sit out and relax and soak up the peace and quiet. This property is a real ‘home from home' and makes the ideal base to see all this stunning area has to offer.

The small village of Scales is situated on the Cumbrian Peninsula and makes a fabulous base to explore this gem of an area. The name Scales originates from an old Norse word meaning ‘huts'. Ulveston, an ancient market town, is only four miles away and it has retained its community spirit, holding a thriving street market every Thursday and Saturday and there are many festivals throughout the year. One of the claims to fame Ulveston has is that it is the birthplace of Stan Laurel, and to commemorate their famous son there is a Laurel and Hardy Museum. The Furness Coast has unspoiled sandy beaches and bird watching opportunities and the Cumbrian national Park is within easy reach. With plenty of family attractions in the area, this a great place for a holiday.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
