Prospect House is a double-fronted, detached cottage situated in the charming former mining village of Rookhope, six miles from Stanhope in County Durham. This cottage sleeps ten people in five bedrooms, consisting of two doubles with en-suite, another double and two twins, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room and a snug. Outside there is off road parking in a garage for two cars, as well as additional roadside parking at the front of the property. There is also a lawned garden with a patio and furniture. Prospect House is a great base with plenty of walking and cycling routes in the area.

Rookhope is a former mining village in the North Pennines. The village offers stone cottages, a shop and a pub, and it's situated close to the C2C cycle route. Close by is the market town of Stanhope, and within driving distance is Hexham, Hadrian’s Wall, Hamsterley Forest, Killhope Lead Mining Museum, Barnard Castle and the city of Durham.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
