About This Property
2 Oak Tree Cottages in Marshwood, Dorset, sleeps five guests in three bedrooms.
2 Oak Tree Cottages is a renovated Dorset cottage set beside a National Trust ancient hill fort with views across the Marshwood Vale and towards the coast. The property retains original character throughout, including bare floorboards, beams and low ceilings. The kitchen leads to a bright conservatory dining area, and the sitting room offers a wood‑burning stove. A separate snug provides additional space for children. The balcony overlooks the valley and steps lead to a multi‑level garden. Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms. The front double is separate; the middle bedroom has a zip‑link king that can be made as two singles; and the final bedroom contains a king‑size brass bed, accessed through the middle room. The bathroom is located on the ground floor and includes a shower. The cottage operates an organic system, so only eco‑friendly cleaning products may be used in the kitchen, washing machine and WC. These are provided. The property is close to walking routes including direct access to Lamberts Castle. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are nearby for beaches, coastal walks and fossil hunting. Note: this property has a Good Housekeeping Bond of 350GBP.
