Bourton is a charming village resting on the edge of the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Beauty between Frome and Gillingham. It is best known for being home to the place where the counties of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire meet which is clearly marked by Egbert’s Stone. The village is also home to the flowing River Stour, the historic Bourton Mill, which was previously the home of the second largest water wheel in Britain, convenience store and local pub The White Lion which dates back to 1723 and is the perfect place to enjoy a much-needed break from the kitchen.
