Apple Cottage consists of an open-plan living space with electric oven and hob, fridge with ice box, microwave, dining area, and sitting area with log burner and TV. The bedroom includes a king-size bed with en-suite bath, shower over, basin, and WC. Outside, you’ll find a private courtyard with furniture, and access to a heated indoor swimming pool, plus off-road parking in a designated car park. One well-behaved pet welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 2.4 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Referred to as the capital of the Marshwood Vale, Whitchurch Canonicorum is an attractive mix of farms and cottages. Whitchurch Canonicorum is where you can find the very ancient church of St. Candida and the Holy Cross. It is unique in being the only parish church in England to contain the remains of an ancient saint. There is a well nearby, also named after the Saint, which is also rumoured to have similar healing properties. The attractive market town of Bridport grew up around the River Brit and was shaped by its extensive history of rope and net making. The long, wide streets and alleyways between the houses were once where the flax strands were twisted into rope, while today those streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns.
