Maud Heath’s Snug consists of a kitchen with oven, hob, fridge with icebox, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, a dining area, and a sitting room with TV and electric fire. The bedroom is a super-king-size (zip/link, can be twin on request 48 hrs notice needed), serviced by a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Shop 3.7 miles, pub 1.8 miles, river 1 mile, canal 0.8 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Travel cot and highachair available on request. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with patio, lawn, furniture, and BBQ, and off-road parking for two cars. One small well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. East Tytherton is a peaceful countryside hamlet resting between Foxham and the historic village of Lacock. The hamlet is known for its quiet rural setting and access to open countryside, and offers a choice of attractions focused on walking and exploring the surrounding landscape. Footpaths lead along the Old Wilts and Berks Canal, across local farmland and through pockets of woodland, making the area ideal for keen walkers and explorers. There is also a designated dog field nearby, allowing canine companions space to stretch their legs before heading out for a stroll. For those keen to explore the local area on foot, The Langley Tap can be reached via a scenic walkway forming part of the Mauds Heaths Causeway, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. A little further afield, The Foxham Inn is well regarded for its excellent seafood, while The Dumbpost Inn pairs impressive views with a menu that has earned a strong local reputation. Essentials can be picked up at the Post Office and village shop in Christian Malford, less than two miles away, which also has another welcoming pub. Within easy reach of the hamlet is the historic village of Lacock, where you can wander its medieval streets, visit Lacock Abbey, explore traditional inns and tearooms, and enjoy riverside walks that feel untouched by time.
