The Hay Barn

The Hay Barn consists of a kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, and woodburning stove, and a sitting room with electric fire and Smart TV. The bedrooms include one double and one ground-floor twin. There is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed front garden with lawn and picnic bench, along with off-road parking for 2 cars. Underfloor heating and gas central heating are provided. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Highchair, cot, and stairgate are available. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. The Hay Barn a delightful base for families exploring the Yorkshire Dales.


Dominated by its large market square, which still boasts a lively Friday market, the bustling town of Leyburn is known as the ‘Gateway to Wensleydale’, with beautiful views from its western edge across the Dale. The town has much to offer with its many craft shops, galleries and tea rooms. There are many lovely walks for all abilities in this beautiful area, as well as delightful villages to explore. Also within easy reach are many other attractions, notably the Constable Burton Hall Gardens with extensive parkland and woodland walks, the Forbidden Corner with its underground passages to explore, and of course the lovely Georgian town of Richmond with its fine castle ruins.
