The coastal village of Jaywick sits in the Tendring district of Essex, tucked between Clacton-on-Sea and the marshes and dunes of Colne Point. In the 1930s it was built as a holiday village of chalets for London’s East Enders and now it has a year round population of people, as well as many holidaymakers visiting in caravans, enjoying the golden beaches of Jaywick Sands. Nearby Clacton-on-Sea provides several attractions, with another sandy beach adjacent to Martello Bay, watersports opportunities and a number of eateries, whilst further afield is the Naze Tower Café and the Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park, providing a great day out.
Cambridge is a delight to visit in any season: relax in its many pubs, restaurants and cafes whilst exploring the shops around the historic market place. If you want to get up, out and about, you couldn’t have picked a better county to explore.
