The bedrooms consist of a double with en-suite bathroom, double with en-suite shower room, and ground-floor twin with en-suite shower room. Outside, there is an enclosed rear patio with furniture and barbecue and large communal car park for all six cottages. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop in 2.1 miles and 3.6 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels inc. in the rent. Ivy Cottage is a wonderful escape to Devon, whatever time of year. The pretty village of Aylesbeare is surrounded by an array of rural landscapes and sits in the heart of East Devon with far-reaching seascapes and access to the incredible Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Aylesbeare is the perfect getaway spot to explore the Devonshire coast and the Blackdown Hills which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The woodland village of West Hill is close-by with a well-stocked convenience store and is the pickup point for the local pizza van, whilst the town centre of Ottery St Mary is around two miles away. The beautiful seaside town of Sidmouth is just 20 minutes by car and has a host of independent shops, cafes and eateries, not to mention a stunning coastline with beaches for sunbathing and surfing. Topsham is also a short drive away and is an excellent day out with a bike hire for exploring the trails. It has a wealth of good restaurants and pubs along the quay. It even hosts its own vineyard for wine tasting evenings. Visit the charming port town of Exmouth with wonderful views of the marina and estuary, where you can hire a boat and enjoy kite & wind surfing. Exeter city centre is home to a wide choice shops and amenities as well as an imposing Cathedral, 14 century underground passages and an excellent climbing wall ideal for rainy-day activities.
