Galley Hill Garden Studio consists of a kitchen with a mini oven, 1-ring electric hob, fridge, a dining area, and a sitting room with TV and study desk. The bedroom consists of a twin bedroom, serviced by a shower room. Outside, there is a rear garden with patio, gravel, furniture, and Weber barbecue, plus off-road parking available. One well-behaved pet welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 0.6 miles, river 0.4 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels inc. in rent. The attractive rural village of Alton lies on the western fringes of the Peak District in lovely moorland countryside, between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. The village offers a post office, village shop and pubs serving food. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and cycling with miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes to enjoy. Dovedale and the limestone Churnet Valley are on the doorstep and The Manifold Trail is close by. There is easy access to many of the area's attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park (NT) as seen in TV’s Pride & Prejudice and the NT Ilam Estate. A great touring base for all the Peak District - and Alton Towers with its many rides and attractions is just a short drive away!
