Monknash is a charming, historic village situated close to the Heritage Coast in the Vale of Glamorgan. The village offers an idyllic location for those wishing to indulge in the stunning local beaches, with options including the beautiful Monknash Beach, and a little further afield, Dunraven Bay, Southerndown, St Donats Beach, Traeth Mawr and Traeth Bach. Monknash houses an award-winning pub, The Plough & Harrow, where guests can enjoy a hearty meal and a glass of their favorite beverage, and is also close to Wick, where you will find a convenience store and a greater selection of pubs and eateries. There is so much to be explored in the local area, beginning with a fantastic amount of castles and museums, ideal for history lovers. Options include Donat's Castle and Arts Centre, Dimlands Castle, Dunraven Castle, and many more. The historic towns of Llantwit Major and Cowbridge are well worth a visit, boasting independantr stores to be browsed at your leisure. The South Wales Karting Centre makews for an action-packed afternoon, whilst guests can try out horse riding at the Riding and Trekking Centre. Head over to Barry Island and enjoy a day spent at Barry Island Beach, Barry Island Pleasure Park, or try out watersports at one of the local facilities.
