Ardgroom Village is a quaint, rural village resting between Derryvegal to the west, and Cappacloghernane to the east. The village is best known for several megalithic monuments that lie just a short distance east of the settlement, often referred to as the “Ardgroom Stone Circle”, with another set of stones located just a short distance north of the location. Within a short drive of the village, visitors can spend time at the scenic viewpoints of Glenbeg Lough and Cuas Pier Caves, stock up on essentials at the Harrington's Grocery & Deli, whilst dining options in the area include The Village Inn, which serves traditional pub fare in Ardgroom; Josie's Lakeview House in nearby Lauragh, and the Coffee Dock in Eyeries. Within easy reach of Ardgroom, the townland of South Allihies can be accessed via car, and is home to the attractions of the Allihies Copper Mine Museum, Children of Lir Gravesite and lush sands of Ballydonegan Beach Allihies.
