The kitchen/diner houses an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and dining seating whilst the sitting room has a woodburning stove and Smart TV, plus there is a snug. The bedrooms include a king-size and a twin, serviced by a shower room. To the outside is a garden with furniture and ample off-road parking. This property will accept one pet but smoking is not allowed. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Within 2 miles or less there is a shop and pub. Choose Challenger Bothy for a scenic Scottish retreat. Note: No stag/hen parties. Note: Loch Dola is free to use by occupants. Note: Fishing in Loch Craggie is only allowed with a permit, obtained from the Lairg Angling Club. All wildlife is to be strictly left alone and watched only from afar. Please note: This property allows a minimum 3 night stay.

Lairg, which is positioned in the middle of the lonely and stunning Northern Highlands, is 50 miles north of Inverness. Visitors may enjoy excellent golf courses, world-class fishing, some of the best hill walking and mountaineering terrain in the nation, as well as the magnificent castle at Dunrobin, which serves as the home of the Earls of Sutherland. The castle, which has a sea view, has a stunning formal garden that was modelled after the splendour of Versailles in France. Along with playing at the renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club, golfers may also enjoy a round at nearby facilities at Bonar Bridge, Golspie, and Ullapool. The West, North, and East coasts can all be reached easily from Lairg, which also offers breathtaking landscape in every direction. Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro, and the well-known peaks Suilven, Arkle, and Foinavon are all accessible to walkers. Visitors interested in whisky can take advantage of trips to local distilleries including Balblair, Clynelish, and Glenmorangie. Enthusiastic anglers can choose from a variety of picturesque trout lochs in the neighbourhood, which is located at the southern end of the gorgeous Loch Shin. Numerous additional outdoor adventure pursuits, such as falconry, bird watching and photography, woodcarving, geology, kayaking, or even dry stone walling, can be done nearby. There are few things better for the authentic Highland experience.
