This wonderful village in the Lake District has a thriving and very popular local pub serving real ales and fine food and is made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages. Windermere and Ambleside, both teeming with retail establishments and social hotspots, are conveniently close by. Numerous attractions surround Lake Windermere, from the Aquarium to Grizedale Forest Park; meanwhile, in neighbouring Bowness, technology brings Beatrix Potter's characters to life at the World of Beatrix Potter. Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains are all within driving distance from Troutbeck Bridge, making it a great base from which to explore the region.
