St. Merryn, Cornwall, is a tourist haven thanks to its proximity to numerous popular destinations, as well as its two pubs, three restaurants, a chinese takeaway, a chip store, mini markets, and a Post Office. Eleven miles down the road is the lively town of Newquay, which is a watersports enthusiast's paradise thanks to its three major beaches, the National Surf Centre, and an inexhaustible supply of rolling surf. Newquay also features a zoo, Sea Life centre, and an array of bars, pubs, and restaurants for those looking for a night out. St Merryn, away from the hubbub of the tourist trail, is a great place to set up camp and spend a few days getting to know the area.
