Many wonderful attractions, like the exhilarating Alton Towers theme park, are close to the charming, mediaeval village of Denstone. The village is home to an inn and farm shop that have won awards. A short drive away is Alton, which has a Post Office, many restaurants, and pubs. There are fantastic walking and cycling paths nearby on the Churnet Valley Trail, as well as the High Peak and Tissington Trails. The market towns of Ashbourne and Leek, as well as the town of Uttoxeter, are nearby and offer a variety of activities. The area is situated on the edge of the Peak District. There are many of chances for hiking, walking, and cycling near the historic homes of Haddon and Chatsworth. An amazing area of the Peaks with something to do at any time of year.
