Southwold, an East Suffolk coastal town between Lowestoft and Ipswich, is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Besides being the birthplace of Adnams Brewery, which began operations in the town in 1872, Southwold is notable for its own lighthouse, museum, and attractive pier, which features a variety of colourful beach huts and hosts the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. A lot of great restaurants can be found in town, and many of them pay homage to the town's proximity to the water by serving a variety of seafood and fish dishes.
