The town of Millport is located on a small island off the coast of Ayrshire, close to the seaside settlement of Largs. Millport, the only town on the island, is a quaint seaside retreat that's perfect for keen walkers because it's surrounded by sandy bays and a lovely promenade. Chinese food, eccentric cafes, and fresh fish and chips to enjoy while strolling down the seafront are among the dining alternatives. You won't have to worry about running out of snacks because there are plenty of convenience stores where you can stock up on the necessities! The smallest cathedral in Britain, Garrison House, which reveals the town's fascinating history, and the Robertson Museum & Aquarium, which showcases fascinating aquatic life, are just a few of the many attractions in Millport. Take the ferry to Largs, a classic seaside village, where you can relax on a shingle beach flanked with palm trees and eat your way through the area's top interior eateries. For a fun family adventure, travel 3 miles south to the picturesque village of Fairlie, which is home to the graffiti-covered facade of Kelburn Castle, Country Park & Estate.
