Scorton is a settlement in Nether Wyresdale, just on the boundary of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Although it was built in the 19th century around a cotton mill and railway, the area is now frequented primarily by walkers and bikers in search of refreshments at one of the area's many bars and eateries. Regular Food & Gift Fairs are held in the village, where one may peruse a wonderful assortment of stalls selling cheese, preserves, jewellery, and crafts, to mention a few. The village's most famous sight, Nicky Nook, is located in its rear, making it a great starting point for exploring the rest of Lancashire. You may go fishing in the area at Wyreside Lake, Cleveley Mere, and the River Wyre. Garstang, just a few miles up the road, is known for being the first Fairtrade town in the world and is famed for its great local products and many street markets. Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve, Morecambe Bay, Blackpool, Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, and Windermere are all within driving distance and provide a variety of activities to keep you engaged. It's ideal for groups of any size thanks to its scenic location and wealth of outdoor activities.

Benefitting from its Georgian capital city Lancaster, popular for its tourist attractions of Lancaster Castle, Williamson Park and the wonderful Way of the Roses cycling route, Lancashire offers a range of hidden gems you won't want to miss. With Blackpoo
