This quiet village is only 2.5 miles from the dramatic north Cornish coastline, which is home to some of the world's highest cliffs and most beautiful natural scenery because of its historically high quality building and ornamental slate production. It's a great vacation spot for those who want to hike the South West Coastal Path, visit the nearby Bodmin Moor, or just relax on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand. Port Isaac, a quaint harbour town, and Tintagel, home to tourist attractions and the legendary castle of King Arthur, are both within driving distance, as is the beautiful surfing beach at Polzeath, located just nine miles away. Just five minutes away is Slaughtersbridge, the site of King Arthur's last battle, and further north along the coast is the picturesque cove of Crackington Haven. A location removed from the crush of tourists, yet still convenient to a wide variety of attractions. The actual Delabole Quarry is not far away and makes for a fascinating day trip with breathtaking scenery. Excellent hikes in the countryside can be accessed from here.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
