Brean, a small village in Somerset, lies on the coast between the more well-known resort town of Weston-super-Mare and the more charming Burnham-on-Sea. The village is a popular tourist destination because it has a sandy beach, a wide variety of shops and pubs, and an amusement park that kids of all ages will enjoy. Weston-super-Mare is less than 10 miles away and features award-winning sandy beaches, donkey rides, water sports, restaurants, shops, the Playhouse, Winter Gardens, and the Grand Pier, as well as other classic seaside attractions. Burnham-on-Sea is conveniently located and features seven miles of pristine beaches, sailing, fishing, a theatre, a cinema, a swimming pool and a sports academy, gardens, biannual food and drink festivals, live music, the Guy Fawkes carnival, and a 36-hole championship golf course. Less than an hour will take you to either historic Wells, with its stunning cathedral, or the world-famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge, with its breathtaking clifftop walks. The Avalon marshes are one of the largest lowland wetlands in the UK, a complex landscape teeming with wildlife, and Glastonbury, with its mystical connections to King Arthur, is at its centre. Exmoor National Park is further afield and boasts a beautiful coastline, cliffs, sheltered bays, and the world-famous wild ponies.

Somerset offers 3 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers’ market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.
