The North Somerset shore is close to Dunster, a well-liked tourist destination that has remained largely untouched. The town's historic core still has many old buildings that cling to its twisting cobblestone streets. The castle perches on the hill overlooking the entire hamlet, but the charming Yarn Market, a covered area constructed in 1609 especially to house the wool sellers and other cloth merchants, is the highlight of the High Street. Fine plasterwork ceilings can be found inside Dunster Castle, and the expansive terraced gardens with their beautiful views of the sea and the Quantock Mountains are home to numerous rare shrubs and trees. There are many pathways leading onto the Grabbist surrounding hills and hikes into Dunster's Deer Park at the foot of the castle for people who prefer exploring the surrounding countryside. Dunster is located inside the Exmoor National Park. Traditional inns, unique stores, and interesting locations to explore, such as a running watermill from the 18th century, are all readily available in Dunster. Minehead, the principal resort in West Somerset, is less than three miles away and offers visitors golden sand beaches, seaside activities, and an abundance of cafes, boutiques, and bistros.

Somerset offers 3 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers’ market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.
