Downderry is a little beach town in southeast Cornwall. Downderry offers a sheltered beach, Post Office and shop, deli, clifftop pub, and outstanding local food restaurant. At low tide, you may walk from Downderry to Seaton, where there is a family-friendly south-facing beach and the Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature Reserve, which has otters and kingfishers and offers cycling and walking. The attractive working harbours of Looe and Polperro are a short drive away, and the South West Coast Path in this section of Cornwall leads to rocky bays, dramatic headlands, and shipwrecks and smugglers.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
