Beaumaris is a mediaeval town on Anglesey overlooking the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, making for magnificent sunrises. With its World Heritage-listed mediaeval castle, Victorian pier, gaol, and courthouse, it's a prominent sailing centre. Beaumaris' mediaeval street pattern has been preserved. Red Wharf Bay, also known as Traeth Coch (Red Beach), is famous for spectacular sunsets.
