Located on the Isle of Anglesey, the Welsh community of Llannerch-y-Medd is a great place to immerse yourself in the culture of Wales. With more than 60% of the locals speaking Welsh, there's no better time to learn a new language and put your skills to the test. Just be thankful you're not in the area of Llanfairpwllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio googoch. Because of the abandoned Anglesey Central Railway that runs through the village, it's a great destination for train enthusiasts. The old remaining buildings also house a cafe and tea rooms, making it an ideal location from which to enjoy the stunning scenery of Wales. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat close to some of Wales' best attractions, consider staying in the area. The LLyn Alaw reservoir is a must-visit for serious birdwatchers. Anglesey Sea Zoo, with over 150 species, and Pili Palas Nature World, where children can get up close and personal with the animals, are just 8 miles away in the heart of Anglesey. While in Anglesy and the surrounding areas of Wales, be sure to visit the National Trust castle of Penrhyn, the Presaddfed Burial Chamber, and the picturesque mountain of Snowdonia, among many others. Llannerch-y-Medd and the surrounding areas offer something for everyone, whether you're looking for a quiet getaway among friendly locals or exciting routes to nearby tourist attractions.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
