Morpeth, a charming market town in the heart of Northumberland, is a perfect base for exploring the coast or the countryside. There are an excellent choice of supermarkets, pubs, shops and eateries for a self-catering stay, as well as historic sites to discover. Druridge Bay lies to the east with miles of golden sands, Newcastle to the south and Alnwick to the north. National Trust's Wallington Hall hosts the remains of a historic castle, lovely parks and riverside walks.
