Wooler is a short drive from the historic town of Alnwick, with its famed Castle and Gardens, and the well-preserved Garrison town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, both of which are located on the fringe of the Northumberland National Park. Chillingham Castle, home to a historic herd of wild white cattle, and Coldstream, are just across the Scottish border.
