Steading Cottage is a lovely L-shaped detached cottage resting in the grounds of Craigievar Castle near Alford, Aberdeenshire. Hosting an all-ground-floor layout with two bedrooms; including a double and a twin, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to four guests. There is also a kitchen and a living/dining room with an open fire. Outside there is off-road parking beside the cottage and access to the castle estate. Settled in the region of Aberdeenshire surrounded by countryside is the small town of Alford, steeped in history and offering a perfect location for enjoying both the city sights of Aberdeen and the vast Cairngorms National Park. The town is home to several local businesses including shops and pubs, and also the Alford Heritage Museum. Visit the Battle of Alford battleground, or head to nearby Haughton and Murray country park, with Craigievar Castle being well-worth a visit too.
