Settled in the region of Aberdeenshire surrounded by countryside is the small town of Alford, steeped in history and offering a perfect location for enjoying both the city sights of Aberdeen and the vast Cairngorms National Park. Visit the Battle of Alford battleground, or head to nearby Haughton and Murray country park, with Craigievar Castle being well-worth a visit too.
