Corner House Cottage is a refurbished mid-terrace cottage adjoined to a pub in the village of Mapperley near Ilkeston in Derbyshire. The property has two bedrooms; a king-size double and a twin, served by a shower room, sleeping four guests. There is also a kitchen/diner and sitting room. Outside, there is off-road parking for two cars and a courtyard garden. Corner House Cottage is well placed for discovering Nottingham, Derby and the Peak District National Park. Two small (or one medium) well-behaved dogs accepted, 25 GBP fee per dog. Please note: Dogs are not allowed on furniture or upstairs, and please ensure any traces of pets are removed following your stay. Please note - This property does not accept worker bookings. Please note - This property does not permit electric car charging.

The Derbyshire town of Ilkeston sits along the River Erewash and is steeped in a rich industrial history, namely coal mining, iron working and lace making industries. Today, visitors can explore its Victorian museum, play a round of golf at Erewash Valley Golf Club and strolls around Victoria Park, as well as enjoying a selection of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. Seven miles away is the city of Nottingham, and along the way, you will pass the 16th century Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park. Nottingham boasts a wealth of entertainment, with world-class sport, live performances and outstanding art, as well as fine dining experiences at Michelin star restaurants and unique independent stores for shopping. Slightly further afield, Derby boasts excellent shopping facilities and a Cathedral Quarter, which has great selection of cafes, restaurants and bars.

The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
