The Forge is a large property resting in the centre of Allendale. It comes with three bedrooms, comprising of a family bedroom with double bed and single bed and two twin bedrooms, together sleeping seven people and served by family bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC and a cloakroom with basin and WC. Completing the interior is a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside, there is off-road parking for one small car and roadside parking is available. The Forge is a superb base for a family to explore Durham.

Allendale is a bustling village resting in the centre of the busy lead mining area, and many relics of the mining era remain around the area. It is well positioned for exploring Carlisle and Lake District to the west, Hexham, Newcastle and Durham to the east and the Hadrian's Wall just to the north, as well as the Scottish borders. The area offers a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities, with the Coast to Coast path nearby for keen bikers.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
