Willow Lodge is a detached lodge resting within the town of Kirkbymoorside. This all-ground-floor accommodation comes with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, together sleeping up to five people. There is also an en-suite shower room with basin and WC, as well as a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Completing the interior is an open-plan living room with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside there is a private off-road parking area and a sitting area. Willow Lodge is a wonderful base for exploring this delightful location.
The attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It is a charming place, full of Yorkshire character, and is the centre for the local farms and villages. Visitors will find a variety of shops from tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to antique shops, while there is a market day on Wednesday. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the National Park are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham. Pickering is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a ‘must do’ day out for all visitors to the area. Castle Howard, York, Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy driving distance.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
