Y Bwthyn is the archetypal holiday cottage - stone-built and Grade II Listed, with roses around the front door, set in a quiet location in the pretty seaside town of Criccieth. Downstairs is a cosy open plan living room, comfortable sofas ranged around a stone inglenook fireplace with a coal effect fire, a dining table and chairs for four, a TV with Freeview, CD/DVD player. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine.French windows open out onto a well-managed terraced garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one double room and one twin.The upstairs landing has views out over the garden and is a great quiet spot for reading.The family bathroom has a bath, shower, wash hand basin and loo. Outside, a set of stone steps lead up to a lovely terraced garden which is ideal for relaxing in and for alfresco meals. "This pretty stone cottage is welcoming at any time of the year. Shops, cafés, castle, beach and even an ice cream parlour all just a few steps away." Everything is just a short walk away. The beach, the castle, good restaurants, pubs and cafes, crazy golf, and interesting individual shops; you'll still find the greengrocer displaying his wares on the High Street. Take a ride on the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railway, or enjoy the stunning coastal walks. If you hop in the car you can discover the glorious mountains of Snowdonia. With its spectacular scenery, this part of North Wales is a real hidden treasure... you will relax and return from your holiday completely refreshed.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s wonderful Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.
