Drift Cottage is a charming and cosy base for your next New Forest getaway, just a short stroll from the open forest.

Downstairs, the open-plan living area offers plenty of sociable space to relax, centred around a welcoming wood-burning stove—perfect for cosy, out-of-season stays. Upstairs, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, including a master with en suite wet room, plus a family bathroom.

Outside, the pretty garden features several seating areas to catch the sun throughout the day, along with a sheltered summerhouse and a wood-fired sauna—ideal for year-round enjoyment.

The open forest is a short stroll away, where ponies, cattle and donkeys roam free. The village of Pilley has a community store stocking holiday essentials and the oldest pub in the New Forest, The Fleur de Lys, is a welcoming spot serving local food and drink. Lymington with its many independent shops, café’s, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away. Other local attractions include the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Longdown Activity Farm, New Forest Wildlife Park, Paulton’s Park, Furzey Gardens and Calshot Activity Centre.

French doors open onto the rear garden terrace and utility cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer.

En-suite wet room with shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

Family bathroom with bath and shower over, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Outside:

The attractive landscaped garden has a lower terrace with seating area, gas barbecue and wood-fired sauna. Steps take you up to the raised deck, with table and chairs and summerhouse featuring comfortable seating and day bed.

Parking:

There is parking for up to 4 cars on the private driveway and in front of the cottage.

Additional:

Included: Bed linen and towels (guests must provide their own beach/sauna towels if required), gas central heating, internet, basket of logs in the appropriate season. Mobile reception is generally reasonable, although please check with your provider prior to booking.
Pets: 2 dogs welcome. Please note that they must be over the age of 1 year old (unless agreed with the owner prior to booking) and dogs must be fully house trained and well behaved. Please note that there is a standard charge of £30 per pet per week.
Children: All ages welcome. Highchair and travel cot (please bring own cot bedding) available on request. Stair gates fitted to bottom of staircase.
EV Charging: Not possible at this property.
Bicycle Storage: Inside lockable summer house.

Local facilities: Local pubs - Fleur De Lys – 1 mile, the Red Lion Boldre – 2 miles. Shops, pubs, restaurants and café’s in Lymington - 3 miles. Beaches: Shingle beaches can be found at Milford on Sea and sandy beaches at Highcliffe - approx. 7 miles, plus Bournemouth/Boscombe beyond.
