For a peaceful coastal holiday, stay at this pretty stone cottage in the heart of Amble. The pretty fishing town is located at the gateway to the Northumberland Coast National Landscape and is brimming with charm - think colourful beach huts, scenic waterfront strolls and a friendly local buzz with lots of local cafes and pubs to choose from (within 0.5 miles). With space for six guests over its three bedrooms, this three-bedroom home is ideal for a trip with family and friends (including the dog). Inside, this traditional cottage has been thoughtfully updated to feel like a true home away from home. The cosy lounge has a Smart TV, lovely, exposed stonework and a tiled fireplace with a glowing wood-burner-effect electric fire - great for cosy evenings in. The spacious farmhouse kitchen opens onto a large dining area - perfect for planning the next day's adventures over a hearty meal. There's private parking for one car and a handy nook for your dog's bed by the front door.When it's time to explore, Amble Harbour (0.5 miles) is the jumping-off point for boat trips to nearby Coquet Island, a wildlife haven with puffins, seals and over 36,000 nesting seabirds. A short 1.5-mile jaunt brings you to the dramatic Warkworth Castle, perched proudly above the River Coquet.
