Set on 7 acres of private land with two well-stocked fishing lakes, this charming stone cottage offers a restful retreat to the Cornish countryside, within close reach of Devon. Set on a small complex with a handful of other properties, this exceptional place promises peace, quiet and calm for your next countryside getaway. The cottage hosts two guests and is dog-friendly, ideal for holiday-seeking couples, however, can also be equipped with an additional pull-out bed to host a small family with a younger guest in tow. Make use of all the facilities on-site, including a paddock with livestock, before venturing out to explore the coast and countryside of the South West. Enter this character cottage where exposed stone walls, original beams and vaulted ceilings add to the charm. On the ground floor, a lovely lounge blends softly into a kitchen/diner with space to sit down and enjoy a hearty, lovingly prepared meal. With plenty of comfy seating, there’s more than enough room for two to spend a cosy night in this space. Upstairs, the bedroom is a super-king-size choice with a bathroom just next door. Skylights let light flood in and show off the stars late at night. Outside, a small, enclosed patio is furnished for your use, and there’s a games room elsewhere on-site for the young at heart to enjoy. As well as the fishing on-site, a stay here comes with a free round of golf at the nearby Trethorne Golf Club (6 miles). Enriched with Cornish history, the nearby town of Launceston (2.5 miles) is yours to explore, peppered with medieval architecture, winding streets and lots of appealing shops and pubs. Similarly, across the border into Devon, Holsworthy (11 miles) and Okehampton (17.5 miles) are beautiful towns worthy of exploring, with the latter sitting right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park (12.5 miles).
