Low doorways lead through to a fully equipped kitchen, and there’s a handy ground-floor shower room, perfect for washing away the sand after trips to the nearby beach. Heading upstairs, you will find three fresh and spacious bedrooms: a cosy double, a charming twin and a relaxing king-size room, all with picturesque woodland views. The cottage also features a refreshing family bathroom. Stepping outside, the private garden features a patio, a BBQ and a swing seat, making a lovely spot for dining alfresco within the surrounding woodland setting. A meandering woodland walk leads up to a loveseat with views out to sea.

Porthtowan occupies a stunning spot along the Cornwall coast, with three gorgeous beaches and a unique mermaid pool – a vast rockpool which is unveiled at low tide. The village also offers a range of great places to eat and drink, with a coastal path offering chances to glimpse seals, dolphins and basking sharks. Other local attractions, many relating to the area’s mining heritage, include Cornwall Gold and Tolgus Mill, Enys Gardens, the King Edward Mine Museum, Wheal Ellen and John’s Pumping Engine House, all within 12 miles.
