This cosy cottage invites restful breaks for small families and couples in rural East Yorkshire, just a short drive from the coastline and the vibrant towns of the Yorkshire Wolds. Hosting three guests with an additional trundle bed sleeping a fourth, comfort is assured in this holiday home. Spend time getting to know Driffield (6 miles), Market Weighton (21 miles) and Pocklington (20 miles); the three towns that triangulate the perfect scenery of The Wolds with a wide array of peaceful villages and inviting local pubs scattered in between them. On arrival, notice the paved patio with a much-needed outdoor dining table for those summer stays. You’ll also find a large, shared garden elsewhere with space for pets and children to play with supervision. Once inside, enjoy the light-filled atmosphere throughout and the attractive oak floorboards that elevate the space. The open-plan kitchen/diner presents high ceilings and skylights, complete with a small seating area with a Smart TV that’s tucked around a corner. Find the main lounge just one step up, also with a Smart TV and offering the cosiest wood burner to curl up by when the temperature drops. Having enjoyed a snuggly evening in, move upstairs to find two bedrooms and head to bed. Served by a well-appointed shower room, the king-size bedroom is large and inviting, while the single bedroom hosts one or two guests as required. With the breathtaking scenery of The Wolds all around you, you won’t need to venture far to find a quality hiking trail or nature pathway to fill a sunny afternoon. Visit Bridlington (14 miles) with its wide beach, seaside attractions and waterfront live music venue and explore Scarborough (15.5 miles) with its beloved castle and further splendid beaches.
